Brazil

The University of Kentucky and the Universidade Federal de Vicosa (UFV) in Minas Gerais, Brazil, have an ongoing partnership through the CAFE Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering that has since expanded into the Brazil Working Group. This partnership has involved student exchange through the Fund for Improvement of Post-Secondary Education (FIPSE), coauthoring and collaboration on Agricultural and Medical research, and the Scientific Mobility Program. Starting in 2016, students can apply to be a part of the dual Doctoral degree program through the Department of Plant Pathology at UK and the Departamento di Fitopatologia and UFV. More information.

Students from Brazil are able to study at UK through the Scientific Mobility Program (SMB) - formerly called Science Without Borders. SMB provides Brazil's highest achieving undergraduate students full scholarships to study in the world's best institutions for one year. Several students are currently studying at UK through this program. More information.
